The course

What The Pearl - West/East plays like.

Designed by Dan Maples and opened in 1987, this course is known for its scenic views of the Calabash River and surrounding marshlands. The layout features wide fairways bordered by mature pines and strategically placed bunkers. Notable holes include the par 5 16th, which challenges players with a leftward dogleg and water hazards. The course is well suited for golfers who appreciate a mix of natural beauty and strategic play.

The course was good, the cart paths and golf carts need some attention. Especially when compared to other courses in the area

Woodruff, Wilmington

A nice course, no complaints!

Susan, Lutherville

Good condition, some holes very bad grass areas on fairway. Excellent course given drought still enjoyed, pace also incredible slow

Zach, Innisfil

Beautiful course. Greens were slow and there was no rolling up onto the green. Very friendly staff. Lacking bathroom facilities on the East course. Very playable for women! Staff was great.

Cynthia, Palm City

Quite a beautiful course, with nothing overly difficult.

Curtis, Annapolis

Beautiful surroundings, but the course was a bit rough. It was playable but not worth $100.

Greg, San Jose

First time at this course and was a joy to play 2 rounds in the day. Greens tricky with pin placements mainly on crowns. Generous fairways and course was well maintained. Staff very helpful and will play here again no doubt. Course management is the key for most players in order to avoid getting into trouble.

Anthony, Mississauga

Course was in good condition. Layout was competitive. Greens were somewhat ridiculous.

Matt, Cincinnati

Small greens, but were the quickest that we played.

Dustin, Knoxville

Ok. Food just ok. Need to upgrade their kitchen.

Richardson, Delaware

Simply amazing all good! Very interesting course with many area for shot selection.

Lesley, Poquoson

very nice course, the greens were fast and in great shape.

Jerry, Winston-salem

Tee boxes rough shape, fairways were thin, Greens super fast. Staff not friendly.

nice course, good layout, greens in good shape.

Rick, Campobello

greens were sandy and made putting very difficult. cart paths were terrible. probably not going to play there anytime soon.

Jim, Washington

Great Course. Just need to refresh the oyster shell deposits to bring it back to its original pristine condition

BRIAN, Windsor

greens a little spotty

william, LOCKPORT

Course was in good condition. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

Robert, Myrtle Beach

Courses showing age, due to remaining wet grounds carts restricted to paths, slowing play. Lies outside of fairways generally tight sandy.

Robert, Woodbridge

I laughed,. I cried. It became a part of me.

Christopher, Moon Township

Nice track, no issues coming back to play here.

Steve, Mississauga

Reason we picked this is because one of the guys wanted to see alligators. He definitely was not disappointed. Had a great day there to but if were going to keep oyster bay next year we will want to go somewhere other then pearl.

Billy, Singhampton

too much slope on all greens. Otherwise nice.

John, Chardon

Great course and was a lot of fun.

Kris, Lehighton

Heavy rains the prior evening which stopped just before our round. The course drained as well it could and with an early tee time we had the place to ourselves which was great as it was cart path only. Friendly and helpful staff......wonderful greens.

Stephen, Emerson

Great layout. Narrow fairways make it a challenge. Scenic views.

Hayden, Pinehurst

Good course. Good condition.

Lawrence, Clemmons

well maintained. Putts rolled true

Dennis, Williamsburg

East and North is the way to go. Course in good shape.

Tracy, Eldersburg

David, Allentown

The name is very appropriate . After a significant gain downpour a d delay we got to play and course was in great shape. Would definitely like to play again (in good weather). Staff was exceptionally helpful

Michael, Prospect

Fun course. Carts in poor condition. One cart ran out of battery. Cart paths very bad condition. Probably why the carts are so beat up.

Mark, York

We were missing 2 foot putts. A lot. It was like a force field making them break at the last second. We got down and checked the cups and could see the lips were all pulled up about a centimeter higher than the level of the green. Someone needs a lesson in how to pull out the hole placer.

Mark, York

Course was in good condition

Gary, Myrtle Beach

very nice once again not as nice as the last time

Gordon, London

Tough course, very good shape and great staff. Starter former NFL player, Super Bowl champion great stories and open to talk. However, had to change golf cart three times due to bad batteries.

Mark, Newington

Course in good shape, greens nice and fast, friendly staff.

Jay, Winchester

Nothing special. Average course for the area. Had no range ball b/c there was no staff to retrieve them per the pro shop. Need I say anymore.

John, Red Lion

Needed bug spray at the putting green and starters box after that great experience

Bernard, Pasadena

Greens would not hold a shot.

Keith, Odessa

We loved this course and track layout. A definite must play again. Course was in great shape. We enjoyed the links (West) and traditional Carolina Pines (East) courses.

Stephen, Kemptville

Cold and windy day - might have enjoyed it more with better weather

Timothy, Midland

Brilliant lay out. Lots of studying needed to play this course well. Will come back

Kirk, London

Course was difficult but fun.

Robert, Huntersville

Nicest of the courses we played. Forgot my golf watch. GPS in the App doesn’t work.

Steve, Canonsburg

Tee boxes beat up. Course used to be two 18’s. Failed development is evident and unsightly.

Luke, Boston

Layout is not great, especially the par 5s. It seemed a bit tricked out to add distance.
