What The Pearl - West/East plays like.

Designed by Dan Maples and opened in 1987, this course is known for its scenic views of the Calabash River and surrounding marshlands. The layout features wide fairways bordered by mature pines and strategically placed bunkers. Notable holes include the par 5 16th, which challenges players with a leftward dogleg and water hazards. OK track, decent condition. Cart paths need work. Food and bev not so good; long waits due probably to lack of staff, which is a problem everywhere. No on course beverage service, also probably due to staffing.

Having played here before I was excited to get back on the links. The staff, starters, greeters were amazing. The course is in great shape and brought out some good competition amongst our group.
