Impressed with the conditions for an off the beaten path golf course.

Very well maintained and friendly staff. Drop off was a little hectic

Played it years ago when it was 27 holes. They've simplified it somewhat by removing some of the penalty areas, but it still has teeth. Not a bad track and good warmup course.

Course was in decent shape. Some holes had damage on the tees. The starters were completely rude to my party and another party. They were very arrogant and spoke down to the players. I also asked if I could take a cart to my car so I didnt have to carry my clubs. They said no and that it was a course policy. So I went to my car and grabbed my clubs. Brought them over and they basically lifted them onto a cart, strapped them in and then stood there waiting for a tip, again, after being rude. We finish playing and I go to drop off the cart and walk my clubs to the car and they say I can drive out to my car and drop them off..?? Thought that was against club policy. The pro shop was great, but the condescending starters think they can speak poorly to people and take advantage of others kindness and it doesn’t matter. I’d never recommend this course to anyone simply because of the starters

Beautiful golf course, picturesque, immaculately maintained. The only negative is we waited at every hole, to tight between groups, 5 hrs to play. Perhaps increase times between groups, advertise that time and charge accordingly. I would have paid more if times were set at 12-15min apart tee times. 5hrs in hot muggy conditions makes for a pretty uncomfortable experience.

Pace of play was intolerable. Greens were beyond slow. The worst part were the rude guys at the bag drop. It was like they were doing us a favor letting us play there. Horrible attitude

Good course. Definitely a challenge

Fairways grass was cut short and almost like hardpan.

The front 9 bunkers were unplayable

I laughed,. I cried. It became a part of me.

First time playing this course and will definitely be playing it again! Great shape and an amazing layout!!

If you missed the fairway it punished you.

All 3 courses we golfed at were perfect for our skill level. And the later tee times worked out nicely for us. Of the three, I believe this one had the slower greens and there were a couple greens that had some damage, possibly from a mower issue.

Greens were full of sand. Should not have put us on that course.

Most of these courses were in rough shape, one really bad - all sand and one was nice - I forget which ?Avocet maybe.

They were very accommodating and even with the rain allowed us to start the weekend off with a great round of golf

Course was in great shape. Nice change going from tight tree-lined fairways in Meadows to wide open fairways and huge greens in Highlands

Nice layout that was in good condition, but they could really use a Ranger/Ambassador on the course. We finished the first nine and were held up waiting on the first wave to finish. Turns out the last group was late for their tee time, then proceeded to play very slowly. There were at least two full holes wide open in front of them, but without someone from the course to prod them along, they kept us waiting on every shot. We could have easily finished about 30 minutes earlier except for the group in front of us.

Unknown to us one of their nines was closed. Still one of our favorites. Staff is very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Course was in great shape.

Good course with a link-ish layout. Back nine got very long due to stiffening wind making it quite challenging in the afternoon. Staff was very pleasant and attentive.

Too busy in am with limited staff. No breakfast was available. A hour wait for a breakfast sandwich is a bit long.

On the list to replay in the future

This course is only rated higher than Oyster Bay because the service was good. Problem was there was not a beverage cart. Layout was good but the upkeep was probably the worst of the courses. You could tell they really have struggled financially because even the simple things like the cart path etc. were in bad shape. We did not play additional holes based on the upkeep of the course. Greens were very slow compared to the other courses and there were bare spots in the fairways, tees and on the greens.

This course was probably the worst of the all of the courses we played. I would recommend to my group leader that we don't do this one again.

Greens had not ben cut for several days, same for tee boxes. During afternoon round we called clubhouse about other groups driving on fairways during cart path only. No evidence that anyone from course can to address the concern and obvious distruction to course.

Two holes not playable, very wet

Coarse not bad but the greens weren't up to par,very slow. Had to kill the ball to get it to the hole

other than Wild Wing, best over all condition, but poor management, placed behind about 36 mixed couples, very slow.
