Wild Wing Plantation – Avocet Course

Course was exactly what I had hoped for. Course was in perfect condition and staff was really friendly.Food was good and clubhouse is s nice.

A bit of a disappointment. Was much better years ago.

Beautiful course. Well kept all around from tee to green. Staff really friendly and helpful. We loved it.

First time at WW. Greens were a bit slow after some much needed rain but otherwise a great course.

I liked Wild wing. Driving range was just OK. Course conditions were great.

This course we played several times due to replays after King's North and Avocet. The pro shop and course guys were great and we had a fun time. Only negative was 3-5 of the greens were in rough shape. Overall very fun experience and when you combine it to its vicinity to other courses, easy replay availability, it was well worth it.

This course probably had the least amount of sand and water than the other 3 courses we played. Having said that it still has plenty of bunkers and water to keep you challenged. Some of the green were not in the best shape but I understand they will be closing down from sometime in May to mid to late September to revamp the course. Still it was nice playing a course like this one, that isn’t at least yet, totally surrounded by houses on all the fairways. We’d definitely like to revisit this course again after they finish the updates.

Loved this course. It was our first time playing it in many years.

The starter on Saturday evening was a complete A-hole. He's a retired cop and he wanted us to give him a tip ( shake down) to stay out there and play. I was 5:00 and he said if we paid him we could keep playing and if not just finish the hole and bring it in.

Worst greens I have ever seen. When paying 4 times what I pay in Ohio I expected a professional course. I wouldn't recommend this course greens we like playing on a gravel road.

They have lost their greens, you should have been aware of that and not book us there

Course not in good shape. Staff was friendly. Only issue was they allowed a 2some ahead and then were were a 2some and very slow play. Painfully slow.

Great course that unfortunately lost some of its greens. They were about half way back when we played in Mid October. Would have been nice to know from Todd that the greens were in rough shape.

The greens were atrocious and we should have been informed of this when booking. Apparently they lost their greens to a worm infestation a couple of months ago and will be replacing all of them in 1Q next year. I felt paying full price for this course was a rip off.

Traps, fairways and tee boxes were in great shape However, the grass on all of the greens was not in good condition and was not expected. Not sure if it was the type of grass, or if it was a disease that caused the issue.

The course had lost their greens earlier in the summer and we were not informed of this. The greens were visibly redone and you could tell they were still having problems with them so we putted over patches of dead grass, replanted grass and verticut greens. Not the best experience on a course we have added to our rotation the last handful of years

Not a fan of this place, however it was in pretty good shape and the greens were rolling well.

I only give it a four because we played 27 and the last nine is horrible to the the other 18. We won't be playing 27 there again.

Great service, the staff was great. We had some rain and the ranger kept checking on us to make sure we were good and if not offered to give us a rain check.

Would rate this a 5 but I think several of the greens may have a disease.

Loved it. The tees are very generous to women. ( Red Tees). Even though there are a lot of moguls, fairway play is good. and par is definitely possible. Lunch was great as well.

10/10 brand new cart paths and a great course to play.

this course is always in great shape. I love the layout of the course. It makes you think on the tee box.

The entire group enjoyed playing this track. We have high to mid-level handicaps in our group.

I was unable to play due to injury but heard from the others the course was great.

Course was in good shape. Marshall needs to take a more active role in keeping the groups moving. Kind of slow.

They had a lot of rain and the bunkers were deep and damaged. The course needed a lot of work. The cart paths were in disrepair. I would not return there.

Very good course. It was well maintained and presented a good challenge. Only downside was the bunkers' inability to handle the rain. They were packed hard and muddy.

Second time playing Avocet, some nice holes, good condition. Like every else in Myrtle, there are no straight and flat putts on the bent grass greens.

No lunch to go, just made it back in time to eat. Very slow pace of play.

Better than we expected for the lowest priced course of our package.

Friendly Staff, Great course , open fairways and we did the lunch package with 2 drinks … Our choices were off there main menu not the special menu most courses have. Highly recommend

Great staff and course! We had a frost delay and several staff kept us informed and the pro even rearranged our afternoon tee time at a different course. When we did get to play, the course was challenging, fair, and fun for our whole group.

Course in best shape of the 3 we played. Good flow - water and beverage on course. Hole tracking a little crazy since they consolidated tge courses from years back but still a good run.

Great course also. Only place where the rangers were a bit nagging about pace of play but they messed up and put a twosome behind our group of 16 so that is on them.
