It is said that upon departing this simply stunning golf course, the scenery is forever impressed in the memory. From quiet ponds to massive oak trees to an insane amount of wildlife, it might just be impossible to not “mark this site” as a Favorite.
The grounds at Lockwood Folly Country Club were once a hunting preserve, and you can tell – and the wildlife continues on as if nothing had happened, clearly enjoying peering in on golfers as they guest upon their land. The Atlantic Ocean is just steps away – close enough to hear the tide coming in and to smell the invigorating salt air.
While it’s tough to go wrong anywhere in the Southeast concerning golf, this course is definitely one to check off your list. A life lived without at least one tour of Lockwood Folly Country Club may just be incomplete.
